U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in Yuma, Arizona
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the Fire Department, Operations B Shift of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Responsibilities You will assign work, assist in the promotion and reward process, disciplinary process and evaluate work performance for subordinate employees. You will provide guidance for training, station and vehicle maintenance, pre-fire planning, hose testing, extinguisher maintenance and public relations. You will direct fire fighting crews in the operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment. You will direct vehicles to the scene of a fire quickly and safely using pre-determined or alternate routes. You will respond to emergencies involving residential housing units, automobiles, aircraft hangars, industrial buildings, high rise buildings and fuel tank farms. You will oversee emergency medical care operations, directing medical triage and treatment operations during mass-casualty incidents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following the ability to direct and train firefighters in the operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment, rescue operations, EMS management and the reduction and/or elimination of potential hazards.
