Sales Executive – Consumer electronic payments
Job Description Summary
Establish and develop expected level of sales of Fiserv’s consumer electronic payments service through the education, development, and proactive management of prospective new logo clients. Independently develops and executes selling strategies for assigned accounts and works regularly with executive levels. Leverages internal and external executive level contacts to develop greater account coverage and create demand. May require more than 50% travel.

Electronic Payments Strategic Marketing owns the positioning and messaging of digital payments products for Fiserv. We develop and execute programs and campaigns that build pipeline and increase adoption and usage of our products. We also analyze, simplify and improve the processes, tools and products our clients leverage to build integrated digital payments experiences
This position is responsible for generating demand and driving new logo sales bookings for Fiserv through direct sales of Fiserv’s electronic payment services targeted to high-volume verticals and use cases within designated territory or as assigned by manager. Position carries a sales quota and requires significant travel and solid lead gen, communication, presentation, relationship-building, organizational and problem solving skills.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Adopts and employs the tenets of the Fiserv Way of Selling, our enterprise-wide model for identifying and moving forward mutually advantageous relationships with clients and prospects, resulting in booked revenue for Fiserv and meaningful business opportunities for our clients.
Generates leads and drives profitable revenue by selling Fiserv solutions to new logos within designated territory or assigned accounts.
Drives strategies, tactics and account plans to identify, qualify and secure new Fiserv clients to meet sales targets.
Manages the effective and rapid movement of leads through the sales process, including: qualification of prospects; assessment of potential client needs; organize and oversee client RFP responses, presentation of Fiserv solutions; and expeditious closing of business.
Independently develops selling strategies for assigned accounts and effectively interfaces regularly with executive levels.
Leverages executive level contacts to develop greater account coverage and create demand.
Develops strategies to utilize key influential individuals within client’s decision process and creates action plans to influence decisions.
Secures funding for future customer initiatives by linking Fiserv’s solutions to client’s business issues to gain credibility at executive levels. Articulates solutions in terms of ROI to the client and sells business value
Recommends new value-add solutions through unsolicited proposals to create customer demand and help customer identify and measure the impact of the proposed business improvement.
Builds internal and external industry networks to remain current on industry trends and describes Fiserv’s value in the context of emerging market trends and how they affect the customer.
Articulates to the customer how Fiserv is best better positioned to meet their business needs and objectives.
Prevents objections by uncovering customer concerns early and building consensus towards a mutual solution based on customer requirements.
Develops long term client and business relationships based on mutual value and trust, resulting in repeat business for Fiserv.
Manages client expectations appropriately to ensure mutual satisfaction for the client and Fiserv.
Maintains prompt and accurate sales pipeline forecasting in the eCRM system.
Shares industry, solution, deal, and sales “best practice” knowledge with the Fiserv sales community.
Advises the VP of Business Development on sales activity and client responses. Manages various management reports and updates on a weekly and monthly basis.
Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Job Related Experience:
6 years of experience in hunter sales role
2 years experience in corporate electronic payments, card payments, and/or treasury management services, with a track record of solution selling and meeting sales targets.
Demonstrated experience with managing a $20MM+ TCV pipeline and multi-month sales processes to buyer’s committees.
Experience working in large, matrix organizations
Travel Required: approximately 50%
