Raytheon Technologies Team Leader Planning Prodruction Control/Manager Production Control in Tucson, Arizona

The Planning and Production Control Lead will perform a variety of business tasks in support of RMD Depot programs. The candidate needs to be energetic, willing to learn, able to work independently and have the ability and desire to be a change agent. This individual will manage multiple people across multiple Value Streams in a fast-paced environment.

Management of assemblies and the associated tasks listed below are necessary in order to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the program’s cost and schedule requirements.

This position will also support the accurate and compliant management of processes and records related to Government Furnished Material (GFM).

This position can be Planning Production Control Team Leader II or Planning Production Manager I based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

U.S Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet

depot production/customer requirements

  • Responsible to evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems

  • Solve any potential depot production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

  • Responsible for the material management and tracking of GFM hardware from receipt of the material to shipment of end items

  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of transfer orders, Raytrack, and delivery travelers

  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material supply

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Authorizes factory work via Depot Service orders and follow that through to completion, including closure of service work orders

  • Receipt and issue of Depot hardware as well as managing inventory for Depot Repair

  • Processing of GFM Scrap via Plant Clearance Process

  • Support program screening and disposition efforts associated with contract close out

  • Coordinate and support inventory research and reconciliation

  • Support DCMA audits as needed

  • Understand the FAR in general terms as it applies to GFM/Depot

  • Ability to critically think and use analysis skills to ensure detailed status provided to the Value Stream Manager, Program and Factory Teams

  • Ability to mentor and develop team members

  • Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work some OT and odd hours

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Security Clearance

Position Requirements:

Team Leader II

  • Bachelor’s of Science or Bachelors of Arts. Twelve (12) years of experience in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, or military environment can be considered in lieu of degree completion

  • Four (4) years’ total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts,

Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Mgr I

  • Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts. Fourteen (14) years of experience in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, or military environment can be considered in lieu of degree completion

  • Six (6) years’ total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts,

Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes

  • Proficient with MS Excel to include formula application and pivot tables

  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.

  • Active DOD Security Clearance
