Job Summary:

The Team Leader II Logistics will lead an area focused on the planning and execution of Receiving, Warehousing and Material Distribution operations for Raytheon Missile and Defense.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational management and labor relations experience. They will be required to engage appropriate stakeholders to create material distribution improvement opportunities, drive solutions, along with the ability to resolve conflict within a matrix organization. The candidate must think independently, communicate effectively, and provide leadership while working closely with other disciplines. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance on start date.

Job Description: RMD Logistics has an opening for a Team Leader II Logistics. This position has overall responsibility for CAMS warehousing/receiving operations, team consisting of 6 employees.

This individual will also serve as the backup to the Material Distribution for 22 Employees at the Tucson Airport Site servicing 70 buildings with four transportation hubs.

In addition to the above responsibilities include workforce planning and forecasting, employee training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management.

This individual will also be responsible for a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvements discussions.

Assign daily routes, conduct stand up meetings, set priorities and review reports/metrics to locate problem areas and create solutions.

Assist with accountability of material from receipt to final delivery, and assist with lost/frustrated material.

Coordinate Overtime when required, and log/track hours in OTIS.

Track vehicle maintenance and schedule services and repairs, Track and maintain CDL driver’s requirements as necessary.

Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCAS analysis for logistics review boards.

Order supplies as required.

The successful candidate will possess strong PRISM operating skills necessary to monitor and control inventory in Raytheon’s SAP based business management system (PRISM) and facilitate disposition of material according to MRP requirements. Tasks to be performed will entail researching inventory status with programs/operating factories to determine serviceable material and scrap disposition status, communicating with Programs, Security, Government Furnished Material, production and depot planners, and factory operations.

Candidate will also:

  • Execute cycle count and other inventory accuracy requirements to ensure 100% accountability.

  • Execute forensic methods in performance of causative research to reconcile inventory

  • Investigate aging Post Goods Issue reports periodically; this will include cleaning up issues preventing Post Goods Issue from being performed on outgoing shipments.

  • Perform occasional support for the PRISM group as a Business Process Expert. Success requires the willingness to learn greater, more in-depth PRISM scope.

Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s degree in a business management/logistics focus

Qualifications You Must Have:

• At least two years relevant, material management experience is required

• Previous material accountability experience across multiple projects and conflicting priorities

• Understands metrics methods; development/execution of root cause and corrective action plans

• Clear understanding of hazardous materials classifications, specifically Class 1

• High proficiency in Microsoft office based computer systems (Excel, Word)

• Current SECRET security clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
