This position reports to the Audit and Tax Manager, and will assist the Manager in the completion of tax returns and financial statements, and will prepare and review supporting schedules as needed. The ideal candidate excels at organization, planning, and multi-tasking. This position requires an individual who can prioritize a diverse array of projects and deadlines, while taking direction from and working alongside directors and managers. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:


  • Track and ensure tax payments are remitted on time for all portfolios
  • Collect and review information needed to prepare tax returns
  • Prepare schedules reconciling book to tax income, including debt allocation and apportionment factors
  • Perform initial review of tax returns and lower tier K-1’s
  • Track and index all invoices from accounting firms to accounts payable software
  • Collect and review support requested by auditors and take initial pass at responding to their questions
  • Prepare rollforwards and other similar audit schedules
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation schedules for internal review purposes
  • Assist with consolidated accounting QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with strong background in tax
  • In depth knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of internal/external sources
  • Strong organizational, decision making and planning skills
  • Public accounting experience preferred
