The Medium Range Air Defense Product Line (MRAD PL) is an organization within the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Business area containing multiple programs within its portfolio including Sentinel, NASAMS, and HAWK. The MRAD PL is a complex program area executing work across multiple Raytheon Business Units (RMD & RIS), through a key partnership with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA) and Raytheon Australia. With NASAMS in 12 different countries and Sentinel in 14 countries, the current 5-year strategy is to further expand the global footprint.
The MRAD PL has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director in Program Management. This role is responsible for providing leadership for the execution of multiple Product Line Programs. The Programs involved will be both development and production. As the Product line lead, the position will require the partnership with the Regional Program Manager in the execution of scope related to that Country. This position requires providing tactical direction for program execution via multi-functional, geographically-dispersed teams and sub-contractors with cross-business teams and suppliers.
Preferred location is Tewksbury, MA but will consider candidates near other RMD sites. This position will require both domestic and international travel about 25% of the time.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Lead execution of PL scope of work for multiple programs
Proposal activities related to area of leadership
Set tactical direction for program execution by multifunctional team(s) and sub-contractors and other RTN/supplier/Customer locations.
Responsible for meeting contractual commitments including the financial, quality, and schedule performance using the approved business model and management tools including EVMS, IPDS, PRISM, etc.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with customer. Responsible for supporting regular reporting to senior leadership on program performance, monthly operating reviews and quarterly EACs.
Collaborates with senior cross-business team and integrated-business team leadership to ensure the application of appropriate support resources to overall Program execution efforts.
Ensures alignment of human and capital resource requirements to achieve contract(s) performance
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree; Preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related business field
12 years of experience; preferably with managing development and or Production Programs
Prior experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Risk & Opportunity Management
Experience with proposal activities
Experience managing various type of contracts
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Familiarity with FMS and DCS Contracts, including prior experience with contract definitization.
• Understanding of international deployment process
• Six Sigma Specialist Certification
• Experience with IPDS, especially an understanding of the Gate 3 to 5 Process
• Strong Business Acumen skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration, especially the ability to influence and manage an international supplier with significant program scope
• Certified BOE Developer / Approver
• PMX Level 3/4 Certified, or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to lead R6S projects
• General understanding of the AIM 9X, AMRAAM effectors
• Strong communication skills and prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
