Leidos Lead Accountant in Tucson, Arizona
Leidos Operational Accounting has an opening for an Accountant in Oak Ridge, TN or Tucson, AZ. The Accountant reports to the General Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate Corporate Flux process
Prepare, review and approve journal entries and reconciliations
Support the gathering of information for internal and external auditors and government compliance reviews
Prepare periodic account reconciliations and roll forward schedules related to balance sheet accounts
Sever as the accounting lead in the SDA ledger migration project for responsible areas
Respond timely and professionally to inquiries
Track and perform analysis of company acquisition costs. Interface with corporate departments (e.g. FP&A, Risk Management, Government Compliance, Technical Accounting, and Tax) as needed
Ensure compliance with relevant Leidos accounting policies, GAAP, SOX, FAR and DCAA requirements
Escalate unresolved issues to direct supervisor
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with over 2 years of pure accounting experience or a Masters of Accounting with less than 2 years of prior experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and very independent to solve issues
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel
Shared service center accounting experience
Public accounting experience
Accounting systems experience (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
Query tool experience (OBI, Toad or HFM Smartview)
Blackline reconciliation software experience
