This role reports to the Leader of the Digital Technology (DT) Strategy and Architecture team and is dedicated to the office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The role is considered a member of the DT extended leadership team and serves as the CIO Project Manager and Staff Executive. In this role you will partner with the RMD DT CIO and leadership team to drive a variety of projects, initiatives and other tasks identified in the portfolio of work this position manages. The successful candidate will manage the day to day operational cadence of the RMD DT CIO and leadership team. You will integrate and drive key activities through leveraging best practices, people resources and collaboration across RMD DT, RTX Enterprise Services, and other key stakeholders.
This role is tasked with leading a variety of DT projects and initiatives that will be determined based on business objectives and CIO priorities. You will be empowered to pull necessary resources and teams together (including the DT LT) to both convey CIO objectives and expectations, as well as to drive achievement of CIO objectives, while solving challenges and realizing opportunities. Additionally, in this role you will recommend and develop the agenda as well as content for a variety of leadership and employee meetings, and coordinate with DT resources to ensure key metrics and operational milestones are captured for senior leadership reports/briefings. You will be required to use the utmost discretion and safeguarding of sensitive personnel and business related information. In this role you must be able to prioritize multiple requests and actions from various levels of management. This role will serve in a rotating capacity with a typical assignment lasting 2 years . Must be willing to travel 25%. Location of this position is Andover, MA or Tucson, AZ, with Andover MA preferred.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Lead and drive to objectives a variety of high-visibility projects and initiatives (such as Return to Work Initiative)
Partner with CIO and DT LT to develop content (building off your ideas) for a variety of quarterly/regularly scheduled events including DT All Hands, RMD Executive level Operations Reviews, Corporate/Enterprise Services Reviews, RMD DT Operations Reviews and Monthly DT LT ‘Learning Together’ sessions
Engage with CIO to develop an evolving communications campaign to drive awareness of strategy and strategic initiatives.
Prepare CIO, by developing discussion objectives and key messages, for internal and external engagements ranging from CIO roundtables and RMD employee videos to industry speaking and recognition engagements
Engage in RMD DT Communications and Change Management efforts
Manage and evolve the Operational tools used by CIO and DT LT (RShare, Teams, RSpace, DT Webpage)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of project management and/or DT functional experience
Bachelor degree in a technical or business related discipline
Ability to collaborate and work across boundaries with the RMD DT Leadership team and at all levels of the organization
Must be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and able to operate with minimal supervision in a highly visible, high pressure environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
Creative and innovative troubleshooter who possesses very strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively multi-task with very strong organizational and collaboration skills
Prior demonstrated experience/ability to solicit, acquire and synthesize information/data from multiple sources into clear and concise executive level briefings
Have a high situational awareness, be able to effectively work multiple projects simultaneously with diverse groups and customers
Advanced proficiency in Office 365 tool suite and collaboration tools including Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams and OneNote
Prior experience leading change management and large projects/initiatives
Exemplary oral and written communication skills
