The Business Development Associate Director position plays a key role in qualifying and winning new business, developing and executing strategy, and customer development. This experienced Manager must identify and understand market needs to growth, work with existing customers and establish new customers, develop strategies and deploy tactics to execute and meeting our annual operating plans for the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area.
This position reports to the Director, Maneuver, SOF, and Air to Ground Systems, US Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) and works closely with the developmental program managers. This BD professional supports the development of Program Area Director’s (PAD) strategies, briefs leadership, and leads business development, opportunity shaping, proposal management and capture in support of PAD annual bookings plan. You will participate in customer wants/needs tracking and assessment, and will bring broad market knowledge to assist in identification and qualification of new business opportunities. Lead development of capability white papers, customer presentations, and develop and manage marketing materials consistent with Raytheon Technologies policy and LW&AD strategy and technology roadmaps.
This leader will also be the subject matter expert for the Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD) product lines to the customer and will serve as the leader for all actions, opportunities and customers stationed at all the Army and USMC Developmental Commands, Battle Labs, Program Managers, and Requirements Directorates at Redstone Arsenal, AL, Quantico, VA, and Ft Benning, GA. This position can be located nearby key customers or any RMD facility.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Pipeline Development. Supports the LW&AD Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) Leads to identify, and develop new business opportunities, and positions new business resources to achieve LW&AD’s growth objectives. Customer account value exceeds $500M.
Raytheon Technologies’ Business Development Lead to the TOW Weapon System in support of the TOW program goals and growth strategy
Raytheon Technologies’ Business Development Lead to the Raytheon Technologies/American Rheinmetall Vehicle Team Lynx. Support Team Lynx in the capture efforts for the Army’s Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) Program.
Customer/Competitor Intelligence. Builds trust and sound relationships with customers and clearly articulates to LW&AD business leadership customer needs.
Discovers, assesses, and interprets competitive landscapes and environmental implications to help inform LW&AD capture efforts. Develops and executes customer contact plans.
Supports the development of the LW&AD Product Area product development and marketing strategies to achieve business goals aligned with customer plans and programs.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of a prioritized strategy that focuses on closing pursuits that impact the current plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Serve as RMD RC customer account manager for the Army and USMC Heavy ATGM systems.
Serve as the RMD RC customer account manager for the Maneuver Requirements Division, at the Maneuver Center of Excellence, Ft. Benning GA
Serve as the RMD RC customer account manager for the Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Cross Functional Team, Detroit MI.
Focus on the customer, understand strategic environment, threat capabilities, problems, priorities, limitations and requirements. Understand how the customer perceives capability and capacity gaps. Create opportunities to help develop requirements. Shape opportunities to explain and promote Raytheon Technologies’ solutions.
Know Raytheon Technologies’ products, services and emerging technologies. Prepared to explain capabilities to customer, solving both short-term and emerging gaps/requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree within STEM, Business or related field
12 years’ experience in business development, program management, or technology development management
Experience with US Military requirements development process and/or the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
Experience with US Government Planning, Programming, Budget and/or Execution (PPBE) process
Computer skills including a MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Experience with the US Army and/or Marine Corps customer organizations
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
