The Tempe, Arizona Microelectronic Solutions location has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager who has overall responsibility and authority for the product yield and performance aspects of waferscale medical devices.
A Day in the Life:
Ownership for driving product yield improvements for newly created waferscale manufacturing technology.
Drive aggressive product yield improvements to achieve/exceed quality and financial targets through the application of technically rigorous problem-solving methods.
Develop and execute to a proactive product vigilance strategy for products leveraging waferscale technology. Create novel approaches to analyze in process trends, deviations and performance characteristics that allow for early indication of quality and reliability issues.
Strong leadership presence and communication skills needed. This position will have high visibility to many levels of leadership within the organization. Develop strong relationships with our business partners.
Ensure compliance with quality protocols for production.
Partner with process engineering to drive yield performance across the VS to deliver to cumulative and RTY yield targets.
Provide project oversight and be responsible to execute the long-term manufacturing transfer strategies to other Medtronic facilities.
Execution to financial targets: quality, delivery, cost (Yield)
Comfortable working in a newly established, startup like environment with a talented team of engineering and operations leaders.
Leadership responsibility and talent development for process integration and product engineering.
May develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have:
BS in engineering, engineering management or science degree
7+ years of direct experience leading teams in a technical manufacturing environment.
5+ years of direct experience with production in wafer fabrication manufacturing, MEMS manufacturing or microelectronics assembly environments.
Advanced degree MS
Experience with Lean Sigma, or Green/Black Belt Lean Sigma certification.
Experience with a start-up manufacturing line or process development.
