KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Program Management- Data Operations to join our Digital Nexus organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal customers and teams to develop and maintain project and/or program artifacts such as scope, approach, solution, plan, resources, estimates for IT application development projects; act as a program advocate and primary point of contact for risk and issue management, program organization, planning of interdependencies and escalation

  • Ability to act as a chief scrum master managing Scrum Master resources, leading Agile ceremonies, facilitating scrum teams, measuring team velocity, reporting on team progress and removing impediments for assigned team(s)

  • Evolve program and project management capabilities, improve delivery of solutions to business clients and leverage project management knowledge across the Data Strategy & Operations organization; Develop, track and manage project forecasts and costs; request budget allocation and reallocations; ensure pr2oject and /or program is within budget; manage and control changes to scope

  • Assess and foster team effectiveness using empirical data while facilitating improvements through team inspection and adaptation; Adhere and contribute to project management standards, processes and governance, including tools and reporting, mentor and train less experienced team members on standards, processes and tools

  • Communicate project status and be the project advocate; take responsibility for proactive risk and issue management; ensure mitigating strategies or contingencies are appropriately applied to anticipated risks and issues

  • Establish positive and collaborative relationships with customers and demonstrate a clear understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and success criteria; integrate and align with other departmental processes and solutions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience managing IT programs and projects in an enterprise environment; explicit experience with data project delivery a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; PMP and/or CSM Certification desired

  • Well-versed in key agile and Scrum principles; hybrid delivery expertise also a plus

  • Ability to manage three to four scrum masters and/or project managers engaged on active projects active sprint work concurrently, including multi-phase, multi-track projects with up to 30 project team members; Experience in full lifecycle software development using industry best practices and methodologies including waterfall, agile and hybrid

  • Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; solid trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
