BASIC PURPOSE

Build the branch/ office and customer base to further Gampac’s 3rd party logistics/brokerage service offering. Generate creative 3PL solutions to meet said customer’s supply chain needs.

Leverage current assets, existing carrier relationships, or develop new carriers to deliver the solutions you crafted for your customers. Work with our sales force to develop addition business opportunities. Hire and train employees providing them a strategic vision for the future.

Full P&L ownership.

Strategy and Direction

  • Initiate growth focused activities to realize and capture market potential.

  • Generates leads to develop new business with major accounts to grow branch revenue and maintain margin goals.

  • Network with internal sales and marketing staff to develop and grow business. Properly manage risk and maintain financial integrity in all business matters.

  • Establish and oversee business development plan.

  • Oversee the development of branch customer portfolio.

  • Oversee pricing for business originating from designated region.

Operations and Process Management

  • Foster positive customer and partner carrier relations to retain and grow current business.

  • Ensure customers receive superior on-time service. Hire, train and develop staff to meet branch objectives regarding customer satisfaction, sales, and operations.

  • Ensure compliance to all local, state and federal (DOT) laws and regulations. See that all compliance issues are planned, updated or resolved daily.

  • Identify and drive efficiency efforts through branch.

Team Leadership

  • Foster a work environment that promotes Gampac values.

  • Build a productive team focused on moving freight out of their assigned territory.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service, profit, growth and succession planning.

  • Lead employee training and development.

Financial Management

  • Responsible for budget and profit margins to meet and exceed branch and business unit goals for sales and profitability.

  • Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly plans to ensure each employee understands their goals in relation to the strategic objectives of the branch and Gampac.

  • Develop an effective business plan to execute business profitably.

  • Effective P&L management to meet all company goals and expectations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8+ years of relevant Refrigerated 3PL/Brokerage/Transportation experience required

  • Extensive experience in the Brokerage/Transportation Industry.

  • Successful Inside and Outside sales track record in Transportation Industry.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit.

  • Multi-tasking Ability.

  • Attention to detail and confident decision-making skills.

  • Work hard – Play hard attitude.

  • Effective Communication and Customer Service skills.

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and perform in any role necessary.

  • Enthusiasm and high energy.

  • Understand Budget and P&L management.

  • Think strategically.

  • Must be able to travel and be on call 24/7.
