Structural Welders

$20-$24/hour

Description:

Will be fabricating structural steel, which is heavy grade steel. Will be doing flux core dual shield welding and welding with thick 332 wire. Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16" of an inch, able to read shop drawings and weld symbols along with having a strong knowledge of common welding shop tools. Fitters will be reading the blueprints all the welders have to do is read the weld symbols.

Duties include:

Layout, position, align and fit components together. Bolt, clamps and tack welds parts to secure proper positioning for welding. Set ups equipment and welds parts.

Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, must be able to square and level structures.

Perform tasks such as welding, cutting, grinding on plate and structural.

Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3 years of structural welding experience is preferred but not required

1 year of Flux core experience is preferred
