Buena Vista Health & Recovery Centers Patient Financial Services Representative in Scottsdale, Arizona
Buena Vista Health and Recovery Centers is a growing, state of the art, healthcare recovery center with multiple locations. We are currently seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to join our team of passionate healthcare professionals remotely and occasionally report to our Corporate Campus in Scottsdale, AZ for onsite meetings and training. Even though this position is remote in nature, we are seeking local candidates.
As part of the medical billing team, this position requires the collection of patient payments, initiates and sets up payment plans, and works closely with billing team to assist with patient billing questions and needs. This position will also be pulled in to help with other billing department projects as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews accounts to determine collection actions
Works bankruptcy notices and return statements
Answers high call volume and provides exceptional customer service to patients and insurance company representatives
Submits monthly statements and collection letters
Contacts patients regarding outstanding co-payments, deductibles, coinsurances, etc.
Manages and monitors patient balances, collections and payment plans
Responds and resolves patient billing questions and concerns
Communicates with insurance companies to confirm patient balances owed
Establishes payment plans
Processes patient payments and or refund requests
High School Diploma/GED
1+ years of experience in medical billing
1+ years of experience working in a high call volume environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent customer services skills
Expert ability to multitask and prioritize duties
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and be self motivated
Solution focused and ability to effectively problem solve
