Gila River Health Care Claims Processor Clerk in Sacaton, Arizona

Performs a variety of customer service and routine administrative tasks to provide for efficient and courteous operations of the Managed Care Department. Those duties include but are not limited to; retrieving medical records, sorting, matching and scrubbing claims, mailing claims and managing claims with missing information.

  • Receives and documents all incoming notifications.

  • Processes and distributes all departmental mail.

  • Scrubs all incoming claim forms for proper documentation.

  • Responds and follows up to all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assists with filing paid claims and paperwork in patient financial files.

  • Maintains inventory and orders supplies for the Purchased Referred Care department.

  • Reports maintenance issues for office equipment.

  • Performs other job-related activities as requested.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
