The Legal Technology Solutions team in Facebook's Legal Department is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to own and drive business process and legal technology related projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing and de-conflicting executive demands in a high demand and tight timelines environment. This person will be responsible for engaging a multitude of stakeholders in and outside of Facebook’s legal department to formulate and drive the execution of cutting edge technical solutions to an array of emerging problems. They will collaborate with legal subject matter experts, engineering teams, third party vendors, and cross-functional partners to provide tools and services that will increase efficiency and improve the productivity of users in our Legal department and the business teams they work with. This role allows for a high degree of ownership of the solutions you launch and the ability to make positive change every day.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with legal stakeholders to review manual operations with an eye towards optimization and automation

  2. Partner with a team of program managers and cross-functional partners to help consolidate the coordination, tracking and communication of project requirements, priority, milestones and status to key stakeholders

  3. Build internal customer & stakeholders’ relationships to manage expectations and agree on clear goals, objectives, and timelines

  4. Review new legal requirements and assess potential integration needs for new builds or third-party software

  5. Build and track project features, milestones, & dependencies

  6. Identify risks and act on them to ensure the team and project are not derailed

  7. Manage competing priorities and simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment

  8. Conduct ongoing communication of team programs and reduce surprises by proactively managing risks

  9. Build subject matter expertise, stay up to date on technology, and identify key partnerships to help define team road maps

  10. Switch from program level to task level issues in driving projects to completion

  11. Work with peers of all levels from front line analysts to high level executives

  12. Be skilled in project and priority triage, work effectively within broad parameters, and operate with considerable autonomy

  13. Be curious, creative, attentive to detail, committed to customer service, communicate, and able to forge positive and collaborative working relationships across multiple business units

  14. Be self-motivated and perform independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 6+ years of project management experience

  2. 8+ years of experience in technology focused projects and/or product development

  3. Experience with software and/or hardware infrastructures

  4. Experience breaking down process and identifying pain points in order to deliver operational and technical improvements

  5. Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audience at different levels across multiple business units

  6. Experience working in technical, metrics driven environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  2. Legal technologies experience

  3. Experience with software engineering and/or compliance technology projects

  4. Experience in SQL, project management and reporting tools

  5. Experience working in a fast-paced, technology focused environment

  6. Experience with the software development lifecycle, technical execution, implementing new tools and change management for large company wide programs

  7. Experience in identifying and leading engagements with internal legal stakeholders as well as external cross-functional work stream leads, stakeholders and engineering partners
