Systems Operations – Systems Administrator
U-Haul is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Systems Operations team. This person should have knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, VMWare, PowerShell, IIS, and ideally, .NET applications and SFTP software.
Monitor infrastructure systems, webpages and applications using industry standard monitoring solutions. Experience with Dynatrace, ExtraHop, and SolarWinds is a plus.
Perform administrative tasks on Windows servers. This includes application installation, OS configuration and software updates.
Monitor and respond to issues posted within channels and groups in Microsoft Teams. There is a service level expectation and a response time limit for these types of alerts and requests.
Support developers releasing their applications via Azure DevOps.
Monitor and troubleshoot SFTP connections.
2 years of experience working with Windows Server OS, 2008 and up. This includes patch management, role and feature installation, network configuration, evaluating event logs, and recycling IIS application pools.
A working knowledge of remote management and virtualized systems.
Experience writing and using PowerShell scripts.
1 year of experience working with IIS. Duties would include recycling app pools, troubleshooting website errors, installing SSL certs.
1 year of experience working with vCenter & ESXi.
Experience with enterprise level ticketing system. Experience with Cherwell or Azure Dev Ops is a plus.
A 2 year IT degree or equivalent experience required.
A working knowledge of SFTP.
Basic knowledge of Azure and Office 365.
Experience working with SFTP solutions like IPSwitch, and Crush FTP.
Experience managing Active Directory and Group Policy.
Basic network experience, managing DNS, troubleshooting firewall issues, etc.
