GDIT is seeking an Agile DevSecOps Solutions Architect to develop comprehensive technical, management, and price solutions in response to request for proposals across the Defense Division. In this role, you will leverage your experience and expertise with cloud architectures and applied DevOps processes to develop compelling strategies that maximize stakeholder value. Cloud environments include AWS, Azure, and Google delivering services in commercial, community, and DoD private cloud architectures.
Through translating relevant details about the project into a language that management and other stake holders can understand, you will align people with technology. The responsibility for determining our customers’ needs and priorities, crafting technical solutions responsive to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to win makes this both a challenging and rewarding opportunity!
Duties include but are not limited to:
Function as Solution Architect, developing process frameworks and services that encompass technology, process, pricing, and marketing to differentiate GDIT, open up new sources of revenue, and enhance PWIN for strategic captures
As a Subject Matter Expert, help GDIT internal teams as well as GDIT customers to accelerate application development, modernization, and integration through Agile & DevSecOps transformation, cloud-native application design & development, customer & user experience, modern software deployment techniques, test automation frameworks, open source management solutions, serverless computing and application performance management.
Work with proposal teams to create solution CONOPS that address and balance technical performance with management and cost objectives
Conceptualize, architect and implement new Agile / DevOps service models for the DoD and IC market and to expand the Division’s business into new markets;
Stay abreast of, and assess business risk of the latest technology trends, disruptions and Agile, DevOps, and Lean service business models;
Actively explore novel and disruptive technologies, services and new technical partners with which to develop new value added services and capabilities
Participate in capture strategy efforts and applicable color team reviews, identifying alignment of services to customer requirements
Develop white papers and participate in customer outreach efforts which demonstrate the qualifications and value offerings provided by GDIT
Represent Division in Customer and Industry Working Groups, deliver public briefings and presentations enhancing Division position as a thought leader in the Customer community
Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff
May serve as a technical task or project leader
May have supervisory responsibilities by leading a team of solution architects to develop a comprehensive solution that includes technical, management, and price proposal volumes
Maintains current knowledge of cloud service provider offerings
Participates in special projects as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business with a Technical Background, etc.
10+ years’ experience in area of expertise
Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Experience in directing program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and have served clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
Experience in the development, drafting, and writing of Technical and Program Management solutions in responses to competitive Government Requests for Proposal
Ability to develop cross-Divisional capabilities, forging services and solutions while working collaboratively with diverse staff elements to include deep technical professionals all the way to senior executive leadership
In-depth knowledge and experience in applying service delivery business models and technologies to deliver successful outcomes that support and enhance customer mission capabilities
Demonstrated understanding of service model conceptualization, design, business case analysis, and implementation
Firm knowledge of DoD/IC Agile, DevOps, and Lean requirements, methodologies, and toolsets, and/or application development platforms;
A background in consulting and recent, direct DoD/IC client engagement and delivery is preferred;
Firm knowledge across and experience in Cloud Computing and Software Application Development by applying agile and DevOps concepts
Experience implementing hybrid cloud services
Outstanding oral and written communications skills are required
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment is desired; ability to be a self-starter highly
Active Secret Clearance , TS, or TS/SCI
Active certification and ability to maintain certifications in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google)
Relevant Agile certifications strongly preferred
Experience delivering Agile training
Direct supervisory technical and administrative staff supervision
Experience and technical understanding in the areas of DevOps Transformation and Agile Coaching, Application Architecture Analysis, End-to-End Automation, Application Monitoring and Analytics, Health Assessments (DevOps and Agile initiatives), and Lean Process Models and Governance.
Experience designing and delivering solutions, preferably in a Defense or National Intelligence agency, is preferred.
