Responsibilities

The Clinical Support department is responsible for implementing leading-edge technology solutions to support Dignity Health's overall goal of transforming healthcare. The Sr. Clinical Support Specialist (Sr. CSS ) creates needs based system training to clinical staff and troubleshoots complex workflow issues. In addition, the Sr. CSS is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the team.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of experience providing system support to clinical staff or two (2) years of experience working in a clinical setting with daily use of an electronic medical record. - Five (5) years of experience providing system support to clinical staff preferred.

  • Two (2) years experience developing and training on clinical workflows required.

  • In-Depth working knowledge of clinical workflows within an EMR required.

  • Proven track record of providing excellent support to clinical staff is required. Prior experience providing application support may be accepted in lieu of clinical background.

  • Previous Lead/ Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Some college coursework or technical college. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Ability to lead others in a team environment and come to consensus on workflow/training issues.

  • Ability to effectively train others.

  • Ability to manage project tasks and timelines.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient with personal computer based productivity tools such as Project 2010, MS Visio 2010, and MS Excel 2010.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of a diverse organization.

  • Ability to engage and work with various key stakeholders from various departments on projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to learn and apply Transformational Care principles in establishing workflows with providers and staff.

  • Applies creative thinking approach to solving problems.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Moderate travel may be required: 0-25% during the normal course of business but may be required to travel more frequently during certain events.
