The Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator will be working with The Medication Reconciliation Team (MRT) which is responsible for the management of the non-clinical process supporting the Community Transitions Program, specifically Medication Reconciliation Post Discharge. The MRT is responsible for using census discharge data to obtain the most recent clinical documentation via fax and phone, completing the intake process of the clinical documentation, assigning Medication Reconciliations to and referrals to the disease management programs, while meeting the turnaround time goals to support timely clinical review

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the multiple products and lines of business in the appropriate UM systems.

  • Work with the MRT Leadership team to monitor work load balance and reassign cases when needed.

  • Assist in training and mentoring new and existing staff.

  • Monitor CAC adherence to work and lunch schedules.

  • Use available reports to identify training opportunities, TAT issues, case errors, workload, etc.

  • Audit cases with clear concise feedback to the manager / supervisor.

  • Manage multiple methods of census notification.

  • Receive and process clinical documentation received from facilities and/or Inpatient Care Managers (ICMs).

  • Develop collaborative working relationships with facilities, venders, medical groups, internal clinical staff, claims and network management.

  • Orient new and existing facilities to the medication reconciliation requirements / process.

  • Provide feedback to MRT management team regarding clinical submission issues from the facilities.

  • Identify new workflow processes and / or modification to existing processes as appropriate to meet program requirements, and increase/maintain member and provider satisfaction.

  • Follow UM application specific SOPs for data entry and workflow consistency.

  • Meets expected quality and productivity standards.

  • Provide feedback on annual reviews when requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare field or with health plans

  • 1+ years of Customer Service experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, sum, insert bar graphs and use formulas, create and edit data in spreadsheets), Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists)

  • Medical terminology experience

  • Ability to work Monday - Saturday, between 9:00 am - 7:00 pm (40 hrs per week) CST

  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours of operations due to changing business needs

  • Must have a quiet designated work space and access to install secure high speed internet (minimum speed 1.5 download mps and 1 upload mps) via cable / DSL in home (NOTE: wireless / cell phone provider, satellite, microwave, etc...does NOT meet this requirement)

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Business or related healthcare field

  • ICD-10, CPT and HCPC coding experience

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
