The job involves responsibilities such as:
Design and analysis of power delivery networks for Intel microprocessors.
Analyze the performance of the entire power delivery network from the DC-DC converter, the package power planes and decoupling capacitors, the on-die power grid and the on-die decoupling capacitors.
Performed analysis of the power delivery performance could involve simulations as well as characterization in the lab.
Help with technology development that can help improve the performance of inductors or capacitors that are currently being used.
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Electronics or Electromagnetics.
+6months experience with PCB design tools or experience in the lab is a plus.
Be familiar with commercial software tools like HFSS, Hspice, Matlab, Maxwell etc.
