The North America Large Projects Director will be responsible for leading the execution of all major projects in North America. He or she will be the senior project management professional for Honeywell Building Solutions in North America, responsible for project management excellence and the project management practice for the North American team.

In this role the leader will own the sales pursuit and bid management process as well as project management execution excellence. To be successful in this role the leader must have experience in leading large, complex project pursuits, achieving revenue and profitability objectives, and establishing project management excellence in matrixed organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complex Project Pursuit Planning

  • Complex Project Cost and Operational Planning

  • Lean Project Management Methodology

  • Contract Terms negotiation

  • Supplier Partnership Management

  • Manage customer relationships

  • Identify and support new business

  • Change management


  • Bachelors degree in BSME, BSEE, Business or related field of study.

  • 10 + years of Project Management Experience including at least at least 5 years leading projects over $10M

  • 5 + years experience in a leadership capacity managing either direct or indirect employees


  • MBA

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Fluent in Lean Project Management methodologies

  • Building Construction Industry Experience

  • Ability to influence and negotiate in a matrix organization.

  • Effective coaching/mentoring skills.

  • Experience in developing and executing strategy and growth plans

  • Expert level skill set in all aspects of Project and Program Management including tools and processes.

  • Fluent in SAP and Project Vision

  • PMP certification

  • Bias for action and positive mental mindset
