Where We Need You:

Protiviti’s Risk & Compliance Solution is seeking a Director to join our growing national team in one of our US office locations. The Risk and Compliance Director is responsible for providing tactical leadership in the development and strengthening of strategic relationships with vendors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive innovative and digital solutions for our clients. They will identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities, solutions, and go-to-market strategies to address market needs that support the strategy for the Risk and Compliance practice.

  • You have a proven track record of success implementing business change and digital initiatives using agile and project management techniques within the consumer finance industry.

  • You contribute to the identification of issues, develop hypotheses, and executes analysis to translate market and business needs into actionable resolutions that support mid to long term strategic objectives.

  • You are passionate about continually improving risk management and compliance approaches based upon business trends and advances in technology, data, and analytics.

  • You collaborate with other leaders to develop client strategies to support current projects and longer-term business strategy.

  • You develop deep client relationships at all levels of organizations and act as a trusted advisor.

  • You have an inherent interest in project management and team leadership. You seek new ways to create extraordinary development opportunities and ways for your team to make an impact on our clients and communities.

  • You are a driver in the engagement of sales opportunities and consistently develop work at existing and prospective clients.

  • You design and develop thought leadership materials on the next generation of risk and compliance solutions to be shared with your colleagues and your network.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

  • A deep understanding of market leading technology, data, and analytics tools and vendors that deliver state of the art risk and compliance solutions within the consumer finance industry.

  • A solid foundation in risk and compliance processes and objectives.

  • A deep understanding of key consumer finance regulations.

  • Experience in managing or advising organizational change and transformation. An understanding of core business processes related to retail lending, consumer finance, mortgages, auto, etc….

  • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, risk frameworks and regulatory/compliance methodologies.

  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and developing key deliverables, including process flows, work programs, reports, and control summaries

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations.

  • Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple engagements and work streams with various clients.

  • Ability to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in consumer finance, including bank/non-bank lenders and servicers, vendors, or sub-servicers.

  • Supervisory experience of teams including consultants, senior consultants, managers, senior managers, and associate directors.

  • Advanced project management and status reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to network and build relationships.

  • Identify opportunities and establish a sales pipeline.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in relevant academic area or equivalent relevant work experience 

  • 15+ years of project management, consulting or technology and operations experience in professional services or in the consumer finance industry, including bank/non-bank lenders and servicers, vendors, or sub-servicers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

  • Professional Certification such as Agile Methodology, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, PMI or similar.

  • Experience with Agile Project Management practices and / or program management certification such as PMI

  • Experience using project management software tools, such as MS DevOps, Jira, to effectively lead, manage, monitor, and control project activities

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve

  • Knowledge of risk management Digital technologies such as process automation through robotics, predictive analytics, and visualization etc…

  • Knowledge of consumer finance industry technology vendors and platforms such as Black Knight, Ellie Mae, Blend, Roostify, XOME, Televant, COGENT, Tena, Armco, LoanLogic, Hogan, ACAPS, FiServe, NetO, etc…

  • Proven proposal writing experience.
