Responsibilities

Interested in becoming a C.NA. JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic Patient Sitter who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients. A patient sitter is an entry level position assisting nurses in direct patient care activities by providing 24 hour coverage making observations of any problems the patient may be experiencing while assuring patient safety in the designated hospital clinical units. Under the direct supervision of the nurse, the candidate must demonstrate ability to quickly make decisions to report changes in patient conditions/situations and carry out responsibilities in accordance with Dignity Health’s mission and policies around safe patient care. After 6 months in this role, Dignity Health in partnership with Gateway Community College, will train you to become a licensed C.NA (at no expense to you).

Located in Phoenix, Az, this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience; excellent customer srevice and effective listening skills

  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR

Preferred:

  • Prior healthcare experience
