American Express Mgr-Finance in Phoenix, Arizona
The CFO Manager role will play a key role in the Global Servicing Group CFO Organization by providing finance support to various GSG teams who are focused on value generation, retention, unit cost, and dispute write off as well as acting as a COE for various LFO analytics. This role will partner directly with the GSG SS&T organization as well as with the Consumer and Commercial BU segments to align, create, execute, and track the progress of various Cardmember acquisition and engagement initiatives. The Finance Manager should be a dynamic individual who can communicate effectively with business and finance partners, support key financial processes, deliver superior analytics, and manage complex tasks in a global organization.

Decision Support Center of Excellence:
Key responsibilities include
Provide support on various Cardmember engagement strategies such as value generation and Cardmember retention initiatives. As well as overseeing the GSG driven goodwill write off process.
Track and analyze key issues and trends while liaising with business partners to develop in-depth analysis on operational and financial results
Support financial processes including forecasting risks and opportunities, investment management, providing charge out details and overall financial planning such as the Long Range and Annual Plan
Prepare and present insightful analysis and key recommendations to Finance and GSG Leadership to drive decision making
Provide leadership, project management and specialized financial analysis for servicing initiatives in support of GSG strategies
Perform ad hoc analytics as required
A self-starter with the ability to drive results, work with ambiguity, and create insights to explain results variances
Strategic thinking an ability to deep dive into numbers while pulling the key story together
Ability to operate and interact independently with the business partners; strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
Robust communication skills, written and verbal

Familiarity with the Oracle ledger, P&L reporting and TM1 forecasting models
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required as well as familiarity with Cornerstone, Tableau, Power BI, Essbase, TM1 tools and some SQL coding skills a plus
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with an Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field
