Marketing/Communications Specialist


Work with our new in-house creative team to guide the development of organization's brand voice across a variety of communication channels while creating engaging internal and external content that will turn heads.


  • Write and produce material targeted to various stakeholders (drivers, office employees, customers, etc.).

  • Ensure brand voice is consistently applied to engaging content across a variety of internal communication channels and ensure information is accurately and effectively communicated.

  • Manage our Driver Portal and Driver App by creating and publishing content to ensure information is accurately and effectively communicated.

  • Manage, create and publish creative digital content to digital screens across our national network.

  • Create and publish organization’s weekly newsletter. Schedule, assign, and gather relevant content to publish that is engaging and informative.

  • Assist in the creation of content published to digital boards across the Knight network including writing script and copy for advertising content.

  • Provide support to various departments and assist with their strategic communication efforts.

  • Work with terminals to find drivers stories to tell and drivers to recognize. Interview and write their stories to be shared across various platforms.

  • Support creative and written content by designing dynamic, creative, and innovative graphics for corporate communications and marketing campaigns.

  • Develop creative images, video, and content for social media and employee portals.

  • Create inspiring and creative copy for video script, social copy, and long-form content.

  • Partner across departments to create content to support their needs.

  • Assist in the creation of campaigns to help promote the Knight brand while capturing the hearts and minds of all Knight stakeholders

  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.


  • BS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.


  • 3+ years directly related experience required.


  • Possess creative thinking skills and able to write outside the box as effectively as within lines.

  • Excellent written communication skills, strong copy writing, and understanding of storytelling to promote brand.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign, or similar editing software

  • Exceptional multi-task skills.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other employees.
