Summary of Responsibilities

The marketing engagement specialist oversees marketing and communication efforts that promote awareness and usage of current marketing programs and products. In addition to promoting and educating the operations teams and our internal marketing team on current marketing programs, this role will be responsible for assisting with the launch and promotion of new marketing programs and products. The primary function of this role is to coordinate and execute efforts that increase the utilization of marketing services, as well as engage and provide a compelling value proposition for our audiences and stakeholders to ensure internal marketing goals are advanced.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

• Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders, both internal operations teams and property ownership groups to aide in the adoption of products and offerings that will enhance their marketing performance

• Evaluation of current marketing efforts, both qualitative and quantitative, to prove value of marketing programs

• Establish and maintain fluid lines of communications, internal advertising, promotions, contests to promote marketing to key stakeholders

• Helping to train and connect with internal teams to ensure understanding of marketing offerings

• Creating case studies for use in program promotion

• Leading pilots for new marketing programs/products

• Create content/collateral that leads to measurable understanding, action, and engagement in marketing efforts

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all members of the marketing team to help them sell products to regional leadership teams and clients

• Takes ownership responsibility for initializing, developing, executing, and measuring all assigned tasks

• Actively solicits feedback from key stakeholders to understand needs, develop solutions and provide feedback for measurable improvement of current offerings and launch of new products

• Defines the measurement process and builds in metrics to facilitate ongoing review and measurement of the effectiveness of efforts

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, journalism, English, or a related field is preferred

• Experience in property management is a plus

• One to two years of marketing agency experience is a plus

• Experience in Yardi, Real Page or other equivalent system is a plus

• Experience in marketing program management and/or marketing account coordination/management preferred

• Experience in measuring success through data aggregation and reporting is preferred

• Experience in Google Drive, Google Docs and Google+, Excel is preferred

Skills and Requirements

• Strong administration skills and a close attention to detail

• Ability to work independently, under minimal to moderate supervision, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency

• High level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others • Complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses if assigned

Scheduling • Typically, normal business hours • Ability to travel (5%)


• Exposure to environment typically found in an office building
