POSITION PURPOSE: The Inside sales specialist will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads and managing initial patient inquiries, arising from digital marketing efforts and DTC campaigns . This role is integral and the inside sales specialist often acts as the first interaction/point of contact a prospective customer has with the brand, product and Ascensia. The primary objective is to cultivate these leads by promoting the product benefits, informing the customer what to expect throughout the process and answer any outstanding questions they have. This culminates in filling out and submitting a requisite on behalf of all interested and eligible customers. Further, the inside sales specialist might be asked to assist the order services team with customer pull-through. They will, as needed, support all 3 lines of businesses that ADC has (BGM, CGM and digital solutions).

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

  • Become an expert on the product, category and the sales process

  • Articulate the features and benefits of the product, including detailed knowledge of all aspects of use and maintenance of the product. Demonstrate the ability to resolve customer concerns throughout the process.

  • Complete initial and follow up calls/touches with prospective leads via inbound and outbound contacts

  • Track daily production and submit daily sales log via CRM to direct supervisor

  • Maintain high attention to detail throughout daily tasks, including accurate and detailed notation of each customer account.

  • Build strong, proactive sales and account management skills to ensure leads are cultivated efficiently and effectively

  • Reach internal volume requirements on daily, monthly and annual basis. Meet or exceed internal goals for requisitions as established by management.

  • Possess high level understanding of US healthcare and payer landscape

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism on every call/touchpoint to ensure that each customer receives excellent customer service .

  • Adhere to all compliance standards, including but not exclusive to HIPAA and ACW (after call work)

  • Assist other team members when required to help meet business needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associates degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical Inside sales;

  • Diabetes experience preferred

  • Possess high level understanding of US healthcare and payer landscape

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent customer service skills and highly-developed influencing skills with the ability to problem solve and offer solutions while maintaining a positive demeanor

  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to varying customer types and needs

  • Experience working within a CRM is a plus
