Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Developer Marketing team is seeking a self-starting, innovative and enthusiastic Content Producer to join our fast-growing team.

As the IBM Developer Marketing Content Producer you will lead the messaging strategy, copy development, and create dynamic assets (video, animation, etc) to deliver compelling content that wins the hearts and minds of our target audience. You will partner with our social and paid media leads to develop copy, messaging, and dynamic multimedia assets for organic posts and paid ads. The ideal candidate should have varied creative experience including production, content creation and social strategy. This role will be responsible content production for our two key programs: Build Smart. Build Secure., which focuses on the client developers journey to cloud and ladder to AI - and Call for Code, which engages developers in creating software solutions to address significant societal issues, such as natural disaster mitigation, using IBM code patterns and tools.

Primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Copywriting social posts and paid ads

  • Dynamic content production including video and animations

  • Project management of campaign asset production

  • Brief writing and agency/vendor management

  • Co-create and maintain value propositions and associated narratives for campaigns

  • Plan and execute the marketing launch activities and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

  • Be the expert on our audience; be the expert on our competition and how to succeed.

  • Support the strategy and programs that create interest and drive demand across all market segments.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience with messaging and storytelling

  • Writing skills essential – frequent writing is a requirement

  • Digital ad creative development experience

  • Social media content development experience

  • Media production and management experience

  • Ability to deeply understand and profile target audience– their needs, wants, beliefs, as well as how and when they learn about technology solutions to solve their business problems

  • Exceptional execution and project management skills

  • Agency and client services experience

  • Tool skills: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro/Camtasia/ iMovie

  • Microsoft Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Skills using the following collaboration tools: Webex; Box; Github/Zenhub; Mural; Slack.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Advanced video editing skill helpful

  • Conceptual thinker
