U-Haul is looking for an upbeat, organized, and motivated individual who is interested in joining our team in the position of Human Resources Assistant. Under the direction of the manager of Human Resources – Operations Support & Project Management, this Team member will perform varied human resource functions. The objective is to provide our Team members and visitors with exceptional service and support.

HR Assistant Responsibilities:

  • First to answer calls to the HR main line and direct accordingly

  • Provide clerical support to multiple HR departments

  • Assist visitors at the front desk by greeting, and directing them appropriately

  • Receive and sort daily mail

  • Support and assist with the U-Haul Service Award Program

  • Take on a variety of small side projects as needed

    Requirements:

  • Positive, pleasant presence

  • Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills including phone etiquette

  • Thorough and accurate with details

  • Productive

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills

  • Familiarity with general office equipment

  • Knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook Email

"Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
