USAA Executive, Enterprise Talent Management in Phoenix, Arizona
Purpose of Job
USAA Employees: This role will be active for applications until 11:59PM on Tuesday, Feb 16.
Manages and coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that enterprise and executive talent programs (critical roles, succession planning, high-potentials, executive mobility, and performance management) are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. This position will be responsible for identifying high performing and potential talent at all levels, as well as maintaining effective programs for retention, promotion and succession planning. This position partners with Leadership programming and D&I to ensure we have enough talent ready to "play up" to ensure a robust diverse pipeline.
Job Requirements
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities
Develops and drives the Company’s talent planning process and career path management to identify, engage and retain key talent
Provides professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent
Collects, analyzes and maintains data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning)
Leads a team and serves as a business partner with TA and HRBPs to ensure an effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in an effective diverse pipeline for USAA
Develops, initiates and maintains effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning
Develops an evaluation strategy supported by applicable metrics to continuously review and refine talent performance and development practices
Manages the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments
Creates and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
Leads team of individual contributors and people leaders in the design and delivery of robust performance management tools and processes that are intuitive, support a culture of ongoing candid communication and feedback, align individual goals with organizational goals and ultimately drive a high-performance culture
Serves in an executive leadership capacity and has responsibility for performance management and professional development activities for subordinate workers
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree
4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Minimum Experience:
10 years of experience in designing and implementing talent review, succession planning, and/or performance management processes
4 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
Demonstrated experience with development of executives and talent management practices
Experience overseeing the formulation and implementation of results-oriented human resources policies, strategies, and solutions to achieve organizational workforce goals and objectives
Experience building career development frameworks as the foundation for high-potential identification and development
Experience partnering with Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion teams to build and ensure equity in core talent processes
Experience in an HR Business Partner role, or a role demonstrating expertise in succession planning, organizational development, strategizing and implementing organizational and/or talent management solutions to include change management, talent management and development, rotational programs, or leadership / functional development
Effective Communication/Facilitation; demonstrated experience as an effective communicator, both written and verbal, work with managers to send clear and consistent messages, be an effective communicator in writing, facilitation, be able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes, and facilitate dissemination of internal customer information
Demonstrated expertise in facilitating executive council/c-suite talent review sessions
Preferred Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale talent programs using various platforms
Ability to coach leaders at all levels of the organization
Proven experience using analytics and insights to inform and drive outcome

Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $135,200 - $243,500
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executives only representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based
