Intel Engineer Technician in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Engineer Technician in Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) are expected to:

  • Be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment.

  • Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data and assist in research work.

  • Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.

Assignments can be semi-routine in nature including Preventative Maintenance and corrective repairs.


You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


  • Possess a STEM (Science or Technology or Engineering or Mathematics) associate's degree, bachelor's degree; equivalent military training, experienced Field Service Engineer, or other industry related qualifications.

  • Windows computer operating systems and Windows software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) experience.

  • Lift up to 25 pounds (lbs.), climb ladders, walking 3 to 5 miles a day, and/or standing and/or sitting for 9 minus or plus hours in a clean room environment.

  • Willing to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time in a clean room environment

  • Work a compressed work week schedule (nights backend) PM - AM: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday (Shift 6)


6+ months of experience in the following areas:

  • Electronics and/or avionics

  • Electronics or digital circuitry.

  • End-user computer skills and navigation, electronic systems troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, technical data and test equipment.

  • Reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system repair manuals.

  • Working on and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment systems.

  • Applying the use of mechanical and/or electrical measuring devices such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, metrology, and calibration equipment.

  • Windows computer operating systems and Windows software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Networking, troubleshooting, and Linux software systems.

  • Solid Works, CAD, 3D printing.

  • CNC Milling, welding, metal work.
