The Energy Program Evaluation Analyst’s primary function will be to support the evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) and implementation of SRP’s customer-facing Energy Efficiency (EE), Demand Response (DR), Beneficial Electrification, and Electric Vehicle (EV) programs through quantitative and qualitative analysis, technology and energy market research, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external program evaluators.
Develop, lead, and execute energy and demand impact analyses for SRP’s portfolio of customer-facing energy programs. Define and verify baseline and efficient condition inputs for SRP’s demand side initiatives.
Conduct detailed statistical analysis of DR and EE program participant energy consumption.
Maintain and improve efforts to track and visualize DR portfolio summer event performance dashboard.
Conduct independent research and lend expertise in emerging energy end-use and building controls technologies.
Verification of program and portfolio accomplishments supporting SRP’s near and long-term Sustainability Goals related to EE, DR, Electric Vehicles, and Electrification.
Critical contribution and support for SRP’s established continuous program improvement cycle, including comprehensive program evaluations, design thinking, technical and market analyses, surveys and research related to customer experience, and cost/benefit analysis of in-market initiatives.
Coordination and collaboration with external consultants, external program implementers, and SRP’s program management, research and analytics teams.
Proactive identification of opportunities for project, department, and organizational process improvements.
Participation in continuous efforts to improve professional skills and knowledge, working cooperatively to meet organization and company sustainability and operational goals.
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
Strong organizational, quantitative, verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, advanced MS Excel skills, experience with R/R-Studio and/or Python, SQL environments are required.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), LEED Green Building Certification highly desired. Ideal candidate will have experience with energy consumption data including monthly and AMI meter data, energy and peak demand analysis, building energy simulation tools, demand-side program evaluation, database interface and management, dashboard development and support. Experience with SAP and SAP BI, Tableau, Phoenix CIS and other enterprise-specific data resources strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Economics, Business, Sustainability, Mathematics, physical sciences, or related fields preferred.
Position may involve utilization and transmission of sensitive customer data, adherence to SRP IT and data security protocols is required. This job may require individuals to be accessible and perform tasks outside of regular work hours. Position may require some travel.
