Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSSB)

Wells Fargo's Consumer and Small Business Banking businesses include Branch Banking, Deposits, Small Business, Consumer and Small Business Banking Digital, Consumer and Small Business Banking Strategy & Transformation, Consumer and Small Business Banking Marketing, Consumer and Small Business Banking Control, and Consumer and Small Business Banking Operations. Branch Banking serves more than 70 million consumer and small business customers through a distribution network consisting of retail branches, ATMs, and online and digital channels, offering financial products and services to consumers and small businesses through approximately 5,300 retail banking branches and more than 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and Washington, D.C.

Deposit Products Group (DPG) includes deposit and debit product groups, offering innovative checking, savings, and payment strategies that form the core of our customers' relationship with Wells Fargo and fulfill a broad array of their financial needs

The Role

This senior level role is responsible for leading teams who are responsible for managing Zelle Person to Person and Small Business Payments, Bill Pay for Consumer and Small Business, and Direct Pay for Small Business. This includes directly managing the product management teams as well as the overall P&L for each business line, development and execution of the strategic direction, managing the relationships and interactions with critical vendors, and collaborating to ensure effective Marketing focus and Product Operations.

The role also includes the leadership of two critical business transformation priorities related to achieving industry leadership in Zelle and transforming how customers pay bills with Wells Fargo and has specific responsibilities to represent Wells Fargo effectively externally to support the future direction of the EWS/Zelle Network.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and credibility with a proven ability to influence broadly across a matrixed organization, create engagement, and drive results. This executive will be articulate and have strong interpersonal effectiveness with an impeccable reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency, and business acumen.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of leadership experience

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in Digital Product Management

  • 8+ years of product management experience, product development experience, or a combination of both

  • 8+ years of management experience

  • Facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities

  • Experience managing in a complex, matrixed environment and comfortable leading and executing through influence

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

  • Strong people leader with proven experience building, leading, and engaging high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Payments experience including P2P and Bill Pay

  • Proven ability to innovate and grow sales, enhance customer experience, and manage risk

  • P&L management experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
