Designs, develops, solves problems, evaluates, and documents all data components (data architecture, logical and physical data models, data pipeline and database administration) that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications.
Member of a platform/data management team reporting to a Platform Engineer.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Work closely with our Platforms, Engineering, Technology and Business partners.
Communicate regularly with platform users as needed for platform announcements, compliance, user maintenance, and usage maintenance.
Measure and report on metrics related to platform usage levels, data ingestion, efficiency, and performance.
Write Python, Spark & use other data management tools to manage ETL type pipelines
Implement and manage data & platform controls to enable compliance
The candidate should ideally have experience with the following:
Demonstrated organization, and planning skills applied in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Knowledge of Platforms such as Hadoop, Big Data
Knowledge of Python, Hive, SQL and UNIX knowledge
Understanding of data management: how data needs to be organized, accessed, monitored, and controlled
Problem solving skills and ability to take independent responsibility of projects.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in System analysis/technology, big data, data warehousing, business intelligence
Understanding of Technology/project management methodologies (E.g. Agile, JIRA and Confluence)
A Degree with course related to data, analytics is a big advantage
