Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
This position is within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Control Team, which is responsible for the implementation and management of the First Line of Defense risk program requirements. Within CIB Control, this position resides on the Governance, Analytics & Reporting team and will be responsible for helping to enable the business in development and implementation of a comprehensive and global Risk Measurement Program across CIB (inclusive of the international regions). This position will work in coordination with other CIB Control Program teams (RCSA, Policy Management, Governance & Programs, Issues Management, etc.) to develop a comprehensive program for the Front Line implementation of target state Risk Measurement.
Specific responsibilities include:
Act as the key point of contact for senior leaders and key partners in CIB as it pertains to Risk Measurement activities, including key risk indicators, key control indicators and key performance indicators.
Continuously engage in discussions with LOB partners on strategy, industry trends, organizational changes, and new/modified markets, systems, products and services, to determine impact and ensure proper Risk Measurement routines are in place.
Ensure appropriate connectivity, linkage, and integration with in-region international risk management teams accountable for Risk Management activities.
Track overall progress and completion of program requirements for CIB and provide meaningful reporting to CIB leadership and other key stakeholders.
Keep senior leaders in CIB, COO, CIB Control, and other key stakeholders abreast of risks, process and control health, and similar infrastructure and capacity concerns impacting CIB.
Recognize and advise upon consistencies and potential issues with the program and escalate to key constituents in IRM, where necessary.
Maintain the inventory of all relevant business processes, governance channels, internal testing, audit, regulatory engagements and prioritize internal preparation, review routines and the integration with RCSA/BPM as applicable.
Establish regular routines with testing & validation and audit partners to provide transparency into business risk profile and trends.
Establish a formal communication channel to broadcast risk program updates, risk profiles, policy updates and other key risk program information to the senior leaders of all coverage areas.
Support the Quarterly LOB RCSA Affirmation process and related feeder/governance meetings
Establish and update regular risk reports for communication of risk ratings, issues and key topics.
Work with the business and support teams to provide operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and platform initiatives.
Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, technology and internal controls.

- 7+ years of experience in risk management or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management
Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry
Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls
Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge and understanding of process management
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Ability to support many high priority, high complexity, and high risk efforts simultaneously
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution
Ability to escalate issues
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
Other Desired Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking businesses, its products and services, and relevant risks and controls of the business.
Prior Risk Measurement experience, specifically in the creation of key risk indicators, key control indicators and key performance indicators.
Prior experience related to the creation of Risk Measurement reporting.
Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and policies across risk types (regulatory, financial crimes, credit, operational, etc.)
Demonstrated capability to confidently raise issues, escalate early, and engage in constructive credible challenge independently.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
