SUMMARY - Responsible for the delivery of pastoral care and to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in areas assigned.



Masters Degree in Theology, Pastoral Care/Counseling, Divinity

One year of chaplaincy experience in hospital or healthcare setting

Clinical Pastoral Education: 4 units of CPE (1600 hours) in an accredited ACPE hospital center

Professional Competencies: Theology of Pastoral Care (302.1 - 302.5); Identify and Conduct (303.1 - 303.9) Pastoral Care (304.1 - 304.9); Professionalism (305.1 - 305.6).

NACC, APC or NAJC Board Certification within two years of hire into position. Applicant that is eligible for certification must demonstrate their progress toward certification. Provisional to extend the two year time frame may be granted on occasion for emergencies. NACC, APC or NAJC Board Certification preferred. Good standing requires maintenance of continuing education and peer review requirements for renewal of certification while observing a professional code of ethics required by your Professional Organizational Standards
