JOB SUMMARY:

The Vision Care Associate Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing a national sales plan for the Vision Care portfolio with a focus on lead qualification and outbound prospecting. This role will include pre and post-sales support while building and fostering relationships with key individuals to develop, expand, and maximize Vision Care sales and market penetration.

Time will be split between marketing generated lead qualification, targeted outbound prospecting and post-sale account management. This position is a central role in the sales process, serving as the conduit between sales and downstream marketing. This role will be responsible for providing a warm client hand off to outside sales representatives, facilitating onsite demos and closing business. It will also require providing feedback to downstream marketing on lead quality and effectiveness of the various marketing tactics. Account management activity that requires focus on workflow adoption and device utilization will require this role to coordinate with other business stakeholders including but not limited to, Project Leaders, Customer Success Specialists, Solution Architects, Payer Sales Managers and sales leadership. This position will require reporting performance to plan and a strategy to deliver results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails

  • Triage qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executive for further development and closure

  • Research accounts, identify key players, manage interest and move opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Perform online demos to prospects

  • Conduct post sale follow up and work with existing clients to drive utilization and ensure overall program success

  • Learn and understand the key value drivers in the industry and be able to articulate to contacts in all levels of the organization (CEO, VPs/Directors, Managers, IC's)

  • Navigate a distribution sales model

  • Utilize business intelligence and sales analysis tools/reports to manage, assess, and maximize opportunities

  • Sales opportunity ownership, supporting the regional revenue plan this position is affiliated with

  • Lead or participate in special projects and/or take on additional responsibilities as requested by the sales management

Qualifications

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience with proven inside sales experience

  • Highly self-directed and self-motivated

  • Track record of over-achieving quota

  • Strong phone presence coupled with listening and presentation skills

  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools

  • Excellent analytical/evaluation skills and a strong command of technology, including MS Office, CRM (SalesForce.com preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
