Advanced Project Engineer
Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of the AGT1500 program objectives within Honeywell Aerospace. You will partner with world class engineers and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
This position will be responsible for successful Project Engineering oversight of all activities related to AGT1500 programs with the US Army and foreign customers. Specific activities include:
Provide technical project management in support of durability and life cycle cost improvements for the AGT1500 gas turbine engine
Manage task budgets, forecasts and earned value in the SAP environment
Support vehicle integration of AGT1500 engine and control system upgrades
The successful candidate:
Has superior interpersonal and communications skills required to work directly with internal and US Army customers
Has demonstrated experience supporting ISC activities, supplier qualification, and suppliers transitions
Has demonstrated experience providing estimates and work scope planning for engine development projects
Has experience working turbine engine development programs
Has working knowledge or experience with turbine engine hot sections and turbomachinery
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three years minimum turbine engine Engineering experience.
WE VALUE
Experience conducting root cause corrective action (RCCA) projects for turbine engines.
Knowledge and experience with stress and thermal analyses for turbine engine components.
Knowledge of turbine engine qualification requirements.
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills.
Master’s degree preferred.
