Job Responsibilities The purpose of the Recreation Staff is to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool area as well as tending to the needs of the residents. This includes all such areas but not limited to: furniture, public restrooms and outdoor pool areas. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty. * Maintain the pool area in excellent condition with regards to cleanliness, organization and responsiveness. * Maintaining all trash receptacles. * Sweeping and washing the pool deck on a daily basis. * Cleaning and maintaining furniture and removing/reporting damaged furniture * Cleaning of restrooms, including stocking all supplies. * Maintaining organization and cleanliness in the recreation storage and office area * Ensure pool policies are followed * May be required to perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management. Additional Duties & Responsibilities * Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. * Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. * Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. * May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. * Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work. * Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. * Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities * None Education & Experience * Must have or be able to obtain CPR certification. * Recreation staff may also be asked to assist with children's programs throughout the summer months. Experience working with children is preferred, but not required. Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. * Must have a good positive attitude and experience working with people of all ages. * Must have or be able to obtain CPR certification. * Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. Pools are open 7 days per week. The position offers between 12- 20 hours weekly.
