The Event Implementation Exhibit Project Manager is responsible for owning the pre-production process, tools, documentation, communication, and transitions for all events that do not have a dedicated Execution Project Management team assigned. The Event Implementation Exhibit Project Manager will be involved in most Event Technology events. This fast-paced and challenging role requires successfully managing competing priorities and timelines. This role is responsible for the planning of Specialty Exhibits, Exhibit Show Management Areas, and General Exhibits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-Production Customer Collaboration

  • Pre-Production Growth Team Collaboration

  • Identifying Customer Needs as it relates to budgeted equipment and services

  • Collaboration with the Project Design Team to communicate customer expectations such that Project Design Team has defines expectations of requirements to optimize design and engineering plans for each event to the customers’ expectations and budget

  • Creating and managing event pre-production workflow and communication through project management application (i.e. Workfront)

  • Collaboration with the Event Tech Logistics and Warehouse team on timelines and schedules.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Services Lead and Streaming Lead (if needed) team to ensure a transparent, collaborative, and supportive integration with virtual offerings.

  • Making initial contacts and arrangements with facilities regarding the upcoming event

  • Collaborating with National Labor for the appropriate staffing of the event

  • CAD work and drawing version control throughout the design and planning phases of the production roadmap for all assigned areas

  • Facilitate and lead the transition to the team executing the event onsite

  • Lead all pre-production, production, and pre-con meetings as needed

  • Lead post event internal debrief

Education & Experience

  • Ability to complete basic design of audio, lighting, video, scenery, and rigging systems

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Proficient 2D & 3D Vectorworks skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to scope audio visual staging/production projects of various sizes

  • Ability to efficiently communicate and collaborate with supporting team members, customers, Growth leads, and Project Designers

  • Leadership minded with an emphasis on ownership and personal accountability

  • Proficient in Workfront (preferred)

  • Combination of 2 or 4 year degree/certificate (Post high school) in Event Production/Project Management or work experience, Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Trained in customer service

  • 1 or more years in managing projects

  • 5 or more years’ experience in show production
