Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Precision Inspector to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops or improves inspection or test techniques.

  • Designs and creates test coupons to validate equipment or determine product acceptance.

  • Sets up and calibrates specialized test or measurement equipment.

  • Performs tests or inspections and collects data.

  • Analyzes test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity or assists with corrective action recommendations.

  • Documents and communicates test, analysis or measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements through entries in quality records and/or test reports.

This position is for 1st shift. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in inspection and inspection techniques.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience with programming Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM).

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Toleranceing (GD&T).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with PC-DMIS.

  • Experience with NX CAD software.

  • Experience with Polyworks.

  • Experience with machine shop inspection assistance.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).


This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
