FUJIFILM Senior Associate Quality Engineer in Mesa, Arizona

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, a global leader in chemical solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry, has an exciting opportunity at our Mesa, AZ facility for a Senior Associate Quality Engineer!

This role will interface with the global organization to ensure full compliance with customer quality requirements. They will directly interface with customer representatives to ensure satisfaction with FUJIFILM’s quality performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Single point of contact for quality related activities.

  • Partner with global quality managers to lead quality activities associated with customer requirements, including establishing customer specific ONE-FFEM quality roadmaps.

  • Support operations to ensure that customer quality requirements are reasonable, understood, and manageable in the production environment.

  • Partner with Account Director to ensure an effective customer SCQI plan for quality related initiatives.

  • Ensure best practices are supported once group consensus has been reached, ensure best practices are updated and adjusted to new situations and audit best practices for compliance.

  • Support global quality managers in leading internal FUJIFILM quality bulletins to reduce repeat quality excursions across the organization.

  • Facilitator for global implementation of corrective actions resulting from taskforce activities.

  • Support local customer quality audits and drive closure of audit findings across the organization.

  • Assure full compliance to customer’s quality expectations upon award on new business either locally or globally.

  • Be a voice for the customer on local and global quality initiatives.

  • Coordinate with FFEM business and legal departments to ensure quality requirements are adequately documented in contracts and cost adders are well understood.

  • Lead communications and make presentations to customers on key issues.

  • Develop a formal reporting system for communicating customer quality information.

  • Partner with Business, Operations, Quality and Global Account Director to assure internal quality policies supporting customer are documented and shared globally.

  • Own customer requirements, including coordinating internal policies on MOC aligned to customer expectations.

  • Coordinate with global quality managers training activities related to customer, white papers and MBPS.

  • Assure with paper compliance throughout the organization.

  • Drive customer focused programs using quality as a differentiator to support business growth.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering, with specialization in Quality Systems and Statistics.

  • Must have a minimum of 15+ years of experience in QA systems with direct customer engagement (semiconductor industry preferred).

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written/presentations) at all levels.

  • Ability to work closely with global cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

  • Experience in managing customer satisfaction programs.

  • Strong knowledge and experience for problem solving techniques such as 5 why’s, Fishbone, Process Mapping, etc.

  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.

  • Experience in design and development of new product introduction.

  • Open to traveling. Visits to other manufacturing sites, supplier and customer sites (including occasional overseas travel).

  • Six Sigma (DMAIC) – Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
