The Payroll Analyst is a full-time opportunity that will be responsible for managing the time system, and serving as a US payroll back up in addition to other tasks as applicable.

  • Manage the time keeping system

  • Analyzing payroll performance through metrics and SLA’s

  • Act as a back-up for US payroll processing

  • Prepare post-payroll accounting transactions

  • Support financial reviews and audits as required

  • Review processing and reporting of funding to third parties for payroll related items such as pension, union dues, etc.

  • Document and update payroll processes and procedures as needed

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Payroll function

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Completing government agencies reporting (BLS)

  • Verifying payroll data integrity

  • Strong understanding of unemployment requirements and reporting

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Payroll required

  • Union or construction payroll experience required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred

  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and organization

  • Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality

  • Demonstrates respect for employees at all levels of the organization by responding quickly and appropriately to their requests

  • Ability to work independently, as well as, effectively and efficiently within a team environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; adaptable to flex and change as business needs and priorities change

  • Excellent customer service, relationship building, and written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to project manage including stakeholder engagement, communications and ongoing evolution as project continues
