Responsibilities

is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for Maverick House

Monday-Friday

Hours of Operation: 8am - 4:30pm

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

1-3 Years of Experience Working in Commercial, Institutional and/or Industrial Sectors

Maverick House provides 24-hour residential care with patient outcome goals that include overcoming the individual’s denial regarding the presence and impact of addiction in their lives, enhancing treatment acceptance and motivation, working to prevent continued use or relapse, achievement of a state of recovery and improved quality of life and integration with community. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.). This position also requires performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Completion of heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.

Maintenance Technician Duties include:

  • Cleaning, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.) which includes all restrooms, showers, sinks to a hospital standard of cleanliness.

  • Repairs minor electrical with outlets, lighting and emergency lighting for In-patient and residential properties.

  • Coordinates HVAC repairs and with Vendors.

  • Organizes repairs of commercial kitchen equipment (freezer, stove, gas etc.) to ensure all appliances are in excellent working condition.

  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • One - Three years experience in commercial, institutional and/or industrial sectors

  • Preferred- Experience in a health care setting.

  • Customer service experience is valued.

  • Must possess good communication skills.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs.

  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, have the proper skills and experience.

  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy

  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.

  • Must pass a TB Test.
