Aerotek Project Engineer in GILBERT, Arizona

Description:

Seeking to hire 2 Project Engineers to their team immediately as they continue to ramp up with new projects.

Main Responsibilities:

Reviews and administers predefined activities and assists with the management of projects from award to completion through a cooperative effort with the Estimator, Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Sponsor, and Field Ops Manager

Maintains project schedules current with input received from Project Superintendent and Project Manager.

Reviews job costs weekly quantities for input.

Reviews time cards for accuracy and completeness.

Updates and reviews manual tracking of materials weekly.

Develops Daily Cost/Production Reports on key items, selected by the Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

Prepares correspondence as necessary.

Reviews all project plans, specifications, and estimates.

Reviews submittal documents for conformance with the project requirements.

Maintains a log for tracking submittals.

Develops a list of required permits.

Prepares permit applications.

Attends project pre-planning meetings.

Develops detailed project construction schedule (Primavera) in cooperation with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.

Processes change orders.

Prepares and processes force accounts and back charges.

Performs special assignments as required by the Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

Assists with the project closeout; quantity take-offs, as-builts, and input job cost histories.

Prepares project progress estimates.

Attends monthly supervisory meetings and weekly project scheduling meetings.

Visits projects on a regular basis.

Estimates as assigned; take-offs, research, vendor contract.

Top Skills Details:

MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Minimum of 2 years experience in roadway/highway projects

Possesses a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy

Must have imagination and strong problem-solving skills, with a strong technical orientation.

Ability to weigh decisions carefully and thoroughly based on expertise in order to avoid unpredictable risk.

Ability to travel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with Excel, Word, Suretrak (Primavera).

Knowledgeable in construction equipment and governmental requirements.
