BSS Registry positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered . BSS requires: Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes; employment, criminal and education).
This position answers and routes phone calls using a PBX console switchboard system.
Operates the PBX switchboard system, answering and routing calls promptly, accurately, and courteously for patients, staff, physicians and the general public.
Develops and maintains information and knowledge about departments, services, policies and procedures necessary to answer and route calls and inquiries.
Operates all designated equipment (e.g., switchboard, paging system, alarm systems, etc.) and reports problems to keep all communication systems in optimum working condition.
Ensures patient confidentiality by releasing patient information according to established policies and procedures.
Works under regular supervision and provides services using structured guidelines. Customers include patients, employees, physicians and their office staff, visitors, and members of the community.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires reading, writing, and math skills.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills, and good listening skills in order to effectively interact pleasantly and calmly with incoming callers. Must possess basic computer skills, including familiarity with computer keyboards. Must be able to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions to process calls within defined standards.
Previous telephone or customer services experience.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
