Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Manager, DevOps 2 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals within the Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Software Digital Transformation organization. This position will be located in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ; however, we will consider virtual telecommuting candidates.
Us: The Software Digital Transformation organization is focused on supporting Agile and DevOps transformation throughout the division. The team consists of multiple Agile and DevOps SMEs dedicated to supporting organizational and programmatic change, as well as being the functional home room for Agile and Dev*Ops engineers.

Role: Candidate will be responsible for the functional management of a small and growing team of DevOps Engineer specialties (Site Reliability Engineers, Automation Engineers, Developers, Cyber Engineers, System Administrators, etc) assigned to programs within Tactical Space Systems Division. Management duties include conducting performance assessments, staffing, employee development, communication meetings, disciplinary actions, compensation adjustments, training & educational oversight / approval and other routine personnel issues. Management duties are expected to constitute 20% of the selected candidates time, with the remaining 80% spent as a DevOps Engineer.
As a DevOps Engineer, the candidate will also be responsible for performing as DevOps support direct to programs, or as a DevOps Coach to teams, and individuals (especially including their direct reports) on DevOps methodologies, tools, and techniques. The candidate must have experience and familiarity with Dev*Ops best practices, tools and techniques.

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other applicable STEM discipline
Minimum of 5 years of total Dev*Ops Experience
Minimum of 3 years of technical leadership or management experience.
Must be a US Citizen
An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM discipline
Experience with transitioning teams to Dev*Ops practices and activities
Experience with Agile Development or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience participating in or implementing Program Increment activities
Experience in broad organizational change and transformation activities with concentration in the development of strategies, roadmaps, integration, implementation, and/or operations of complex, large-scale information systems and technologies
Previous experience in any of the following leadership areas: engineering functional management; experience leading a team of 5+ employees with a record of on-time performance; ability to build, adjust, or maintain diverse/inclusive teams with engaged team members; advanced technical management degree(s) or certification(s)
Active Top Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $140,200.00 - $210,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
