Summary:This Active Directory Senior Subject Matter Expert ensures all Department

of Defense Information Network – Army (DoDIN-A) directory forests and domains

are configured, operated, monitored, secured, and sustained In Accordance With

(IAW) the Army Regulation (AR) 25-2 and the approved Joint Technical

Architecture (JTA) ensuring configuration, security and connection into the

DoDIN-A and Global (DoDIN enterprises are maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Provide strategic planning, and assessments surrounding active directory and the program.

  • Provide security risk threat assessments, prepare recommendations for countermeasures.

  • Brief management and customers with SME recommendations.

  • Provide security-related technical expertise for hardware and software components and in the development of Operational Configuration Management (CM) baselines for EDS&A tools and support of Identity and Access Management (IDAM) systems.

  • Manage and supervise the Directory Service, Identity Management, and AD structures on the Non-secure (NIPRNet), Secured (SIPRNet), and Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) in the AEI in support of the Enterprise initiative.

  • Schedule and staff security reviews of scan results in support of Active Directory migrations.

  • Manage the operation and maintenance of all proposed Active Directory baseline changes and report the results of these activities to management

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School Diploma and 12 years’ experience; OR Associate’s Degree and 10 years’ experience; OR Bachelor’s and 8 years’ experience.

  • IT Level I; IAT II; MCITP: EA or MCSE or the current highest level of Microsoft certification for Active Directory and IAT Level II Baseline Certification; ITIL Foundations certified (within 3 months)

  • Secret clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Leadership and self-direction skills are highly desired.

Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to provide on-call support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Ability to critically analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to the customer and leadership.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements of a government security clearance for access to classified information

Work Environment:
