Northern Arizona Healthcare Office Coordinator 2 - Supply Chain Management in Flagstaff, Arizona

Office Coordinator undertakes a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. He/She ensures that the office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities.

Department Operations

  • May fill in for warehouse and mail-room staff as needed.

  • Manages the product safety recall process, analyzes and incorporates process improvements to future recalls based on results.

  • Maintains the overflow of relatively simple buyer functions and manages vendors.

Finance and Insurance Authorization

  • Processes payroll report, daily time stamp, and corrections.

  • Knowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to patient information.

  • Gather and process all necessary patient forms to gain authorization for Department visits, tests, labs, and surgeries.

  • Provides chart/documents requested for use in legal actions, following patient consent/confidentiality protocols.

  • Ability to understand and use appropriate medical terminology and organization services.

Compliance/Safety

  • Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

  • Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

  • If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

  • Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

  • Completes daily assigned tasks and records daily activity.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED- Required

Experience:

Associate's Degree or minimum two years in medical or comparative field- Required

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs
